Our Backlit Stretch Ceiling Services
We provide a range of backlit stretch ceiling solutions for residential and commercial interiors.
Backlit Stretch Ceiling Installation
Our backlit stretch ceiling installation service combines a translucent stretch membrane with a lighting system positioned above it.
The membrane diffuses the light to create an illuminated ceiling surface, reducing the appearance of individual light sources when the system is correctly designed and installed.
Backlit stretch ceilings can be installed as full ceiling systems or smaller decorative lighting features.
LED Backlit Stretch Ceilings
LED backlit stretch ceilings use LED lighting positioned behind a translucent ceiling membrane.
Depending on the lighting specification, installations can incorporate warm white, cool white, dimmable or colour-changing lighting.
LED backlit ceilings are suitable for both decorative and functional lighting applications.
Translucent Stretch Ceilings
Translucent stretch ceilings allow light to pass through the membrane, making them suitable for illuminated ceiling installations.
They can be used to create large lighting panels, continuous illuminated surfaces and bespoke ceiling features.
We can discuss the available membrane options and lighting arrangements based on your project requirements.
Printed Backlit Stretch Ceilings
Printed backlit stretch ceilings combine translucent ceiling membranes with bespoke graphics, images or patterns.
When illuminated from behind, the printed design becomes a decorative ceiling feature.
These systems are suitable for residential interiors, retail environments, hospitality venues and commercial spaces.
Bespoke Illuminated Ceiling Features
We provide backlit stretch ceiling solutions for projects requiring specific shapes, sizes or lighting effects.
Options can include recessed illuminated panels, feature ceilings and lighting arrangements designed around the layout of a room.
The final specification depends on the available ceiling space, lighting requirements and installation conditions.

We provide backlit stretch ceiling installations for homeowners looking to introduce modern lighting features into their properties.
Our services are suitable for:
- Kitchens

They are especially suitable for contemporary interiors where a smooth ceiling finish and concealed lighting are preferred.

Our installations are suitable for:
- Offices and meeting rooms

Illuminated stretch ceilings can be incorporated into commercial interior designs to provide decorative lighting, create visual features and improve the appearance of a space.
Benefits of Backlit Stretch Ceilings
Backlit stretch ceilings offer several advantages for residential and commercial interiors.
Evenly Distributed Lighting
A correctly designed backlit stretch ceiling can provide a consistent illuminated surface by diffusing light through the membrane.
This can help create a softer lighting effect compared with exposed individual light fittings.
Modern Ceiling Finish
Stretch ceiling membranes provide a smooth, tensioned finish that can complement contemporary interior designs.
The lighting components are concealed behind the membrane, helping to maintain a clean appearance.
Customisable Lighting Options
Depending on the system selected, backlit stretch ceilings can incorporate dimmable lighting, different colour temperatures and colour-changing effects.
This allows the lighting to be tailored to the intended use of the room.
Bespoke Designs
Backlit stretch ceilings can be designed in different shapes and sizes to suit the layout of a property.
Printed membranes and feature lighting arrangements also provide opportunities for decorative ceiling designs.
How Does Backlit Stretch Ceiling Installation Work?
The installation process begins with an assessment of the room, existing ceiling and lighting requirements.
Measurements are taken to determine the dimensions of the stretch ceiling and the available space for lighting components.
A suitable LED lighting layout is then planned to achieve the required illumination across the membrane.
The lighting equipment and perimeter tracking system are installed before the translucent stretch ceiling membrane is fitted.
Once the membrane is secured, the lighting system is tested and checked to ensure the intended effect has been achieved.
The exact installation process depends on the ceiling construction, lighting specification and project requirements.
